Does AEC issue the certificates?
No. Certificates are issued by independent certification bodies accredited by UKAS, DAkkS or an equivalent national accreditation body, or by the scheme-specific bodies some standards require. AEC prepares your organisation for those audits.
Which standard do shippers ask for most?
ISO 9001 is the common baseline. ISO 28000 is increasingly requested for security, and ISO 39001 for fleets.
Can subcontracted carriers be covered?
Your system controls subcontracted transport through supplier requirements and monitoring; subcontractors do not need their own certificates.
